D'or Chadash is our junior youth group for students in 6th - 8th grade. We offer monthly events where we can build friendships and explore our Judaism through fun and exciting activates. Dor Chadash does everything from social action projects to laser tag! We are also proud to offer leadership opportunities for 8th grade students as they transition from middle to high school.

What is NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth)?

NFTY is the larger, reform North American youth movement, whose umbrella PARTY falls under. NFTY is a movement that builds strong, welcoming, inspired communities through teen-powered engagement. Together, NFTY pursues tikkun olam, personal growth, youth empowerment, and deep connections, all rooted in Reform Judaism. We participate in both regional and North American programming. Our region, NFTY Northwest, has 4 weekend retreats a year which take place around the Pacific Northwest. We travel as a group, usually via bus. Teens register to attend events on the NFTY NW website. Registration usually opens up a couple weeks before the event. NFTY NW is also part of the larger NFTY North American programming. Within this type of programming, we have the opportunity to travel to NFTY Convention every-other year. This is a 5 day convention where thousands of teens and youth educators meet. This upcoming year, the convention will be held in Chicago. There are always scholarships available, please contact me if you are interested!
