Third, fourth, and fifth graders have the option to enroll in our in-person one day per week Hebrew program, in-person two days per week Integrated Hebrew Program (IHP), or our Hybrid Hebrew Program, which consists of one in-person class and one Zoom meeting weekly. Family Opening Day | Sunday, October 3 |

All Activities will be Outside on the CBI Plaza

Please plan on being with your elementary (pre-k through fifth grade) students for the entirety of the morning; middle school students may be dropped off.

From 9:15-9:45 AM, families will check in on the CBI Plaza. Madrichim will assist you in finding your student’s grade level teachers on the Plaza; Religious School staff and educator list are available here as well. Masks are mandatory.

As you drive to CBI this Sunday, please be aware that the Portland Marathon will be taking place and that your route and drive times may be impacted.

Elementary Family Day (Pre-k – Fifth Grade and Parents)

9:15 AM – 9:45 AM – Students and Parents Check-in at CBI Plaza
9:45 AM – 10:45 AM -Mishpacha Minyan and First Grade Consecration
10:45-11:30 AM -Family Icebreakers and Activities
11:30 AM – Program Ends

Please plan on being with your Elementary students for the entirety of the morning.

Middle School (Sixth and Seventh Grade students only)

9:15 AM – 9:45 AM – Students and Parents Check-in at CBI Plaza
9:45 AM – 10:45 AM -Mishpacha Minyan and First Grade Consecration
10:45-11:30 AM -Student Icebreakers and Activities
11:30 AM – Dismissal and pick up in gront of the Schnitzer Family Center

High School (Eighth – Twelfth Grades students only)

12:30 PM – 12:45 PM – Students Check-in at CBI Plaza
12:45PM – 1:15 PM Welcome and Pizza Lunch on the CBI Plaza
1:15 PM – 2:00 PM -Student and Teacher Activities (with Special Guests)
2:00 PM – Dismissal from CBI Plaza and Circle Drive

Health and Safety Information

All CBI faculty and madrichim are fully vaccinated
All CBI faculty, madrichim, and students will be masked during all in-person gatherings and classes.
Outside, tented spaces will be utilized for instruction and activities when possible.
Classrooms with outside windows that open will be prioritized for use for Religious School classes.
Air Purifies will be in use throughout the school building.
Student schedules will optimize movement of location for activities to minimize staying in the same location for a prolonged period of time.
Classrooms will be set up for social distancing.
With some exceptions for our very youngest students, parents and guardians will pick-up and drop-off students outside the school building.
